Bandits Sign Veltman, Re-Sign Two More

The Buffalo Bandits have announced the team has agreed to terms on a two-year contract with unrestricted free agent forward Daryl Veltman. Buffalo has also re-signed transition player Mitch Wilde to a two-year deal and goalie Rance Vigneux to a one-year deal. All contracts are pending league approval.

Veltman, a Georgetown, Ontario native, spent the previous five seasons with the Calgary Roughnecks, where he put up 57 points (21+36) in 17 games in 2015. Prior to playing in Calgary, the seven-year NLL veteran spent two seasons with Boston, who made him the first overall pick in the 2008 NLL Draft.  In 108 career regular season games, Veltman has amassed 407 points (144+263), with another 54 points (18+36) coming in 18 career playoff games.

Wilde returns for his third campaign with the Bandits after appearing in all 18 games in 2015.  In 28 career games, the Brooklin, Ontario native has produced 23 points (7+16) and 73 loose balls while playing a vital role in the Bandits transition game.

Vigneux, who was in training camp for the Bandits last year, appeared in 18 games this summer for the Kitchener-Waterloo Kodiaks of Major Series Lacrosse, posting a 0-2 record, 10.42 goals-against average and a .747 save percentage in 138:15 of action.
