Dan Dawson Wins ‘Pinty’S Wingman’ Award For Week 5

The National Lacrosse League has announced Rochester Knighthawks forward Dan Dawson as the “Pinty’s Wingman of the Week” award winner for Week 5 of the 2015 NLL season.

Dawson, who is tied for eighth in the NLL with 17 assists and fifth in assists per game (4.25) this season, posted a league-high 11 helpers in Rochester’s 17-11 home win over Buffalo this past weekend.

The 2009 NLL MVP ranks sixth all-time with 666 career assists.and seventh on the NLL all-time scoring list with 1057 career points (391+666). The 14-year veteran has proven to be one of the league’s most prolific scorers since entering the NLL in 2001. The Oakville, Ont. native has won two-straight championships with the Knighthawks and was the 2014 NLL Champion’s Cup Finals MVP.

Pinty’s is an official partner for the NLL on TSN during the 2015 season. Each week, an NLL player will receive the “Pinty’s Wingman of the Week” award based on their performance with respect to passing prowess and playmaking abilities. The weekly award winners will be entered into the pool of finalists for the “Pinty’s Wingman of the Year” award at the end of the season.
