Discipline Summary: Nll Week 13

The National Lacrosse League has issued a summary of discipline following official league review of NLL Week 13 for games played on March 25-26.

Toronto Rock defenseman Bill Hostrawser has been assessed a three-game suspension stemming from an illegal cross-checking incident on Saskatchewan Rush forward Ben McIntosh at approximately the 14:58 mark of the third quarter during their game on Friday, March 25. No call was made by officials on the field, but upon league review, Hostrawser has been assessed a Match Penalty for Dangerous Contact To The Head (Rule 77) and Illegal Cross Checking (Rule 63.3), which carries a three-game suspension. Update: the appeal of the suspension has been withdrawn and Hostrawser will begin to serve the three-game suspension immediately, starting in Week 15.

In other league discipline news, the appeal of the two-game suspension assessed to Colorado Mammoth forward Jeremy Noble has been withdrawn. The suspension stemmed from a high-sticking incident on Calgary Roughnecks defenseman Mike Carnegie at the 7:26 mark of the second quarter during their game on Saturday, March 19. No penalty was called by officials on the field, but upon league review, Noble was assessed a Match Penalty for High Sticking (Rule 62.2), which carries an automatic two-game suspension (Rule 41.2).
