A busy National Lacrosse League Week 10 saw six matchups that included a home-and-home with the Wings vs. Black Wolves. Let’s take a look at the top single game performers from across the NLL.
MOST GOALS
Callum Crawford (5) – New England Black Wolves
Six players were tied at four goals in a game, but New England’s Callum Crawford toppled them all with a fifth tally. The 34-year old veteran helped avenge Saturday’s loss to Philadelphia with a 17-11 victory over the Wings the next afternoon.
MOST POINTS
Callum Crawford (12) – New England Black Wolves
Crawford added to his five-goal evening in Sunday’s rematch against Philly by contributing seven assists for a dominant 12-point outing. Combined over the two games the forward delivered six goals and 18 total points.
BEST SAVE PERCENTAGE %
Mike Poulin (0.830%) – Georgia Swarm
Since Crawford doesn’t play net, we’re forced to have a different top performer in the goaltender category!
The Swarm may have come out on the wrong end of a 10-8 decision to Colorado, but the loss wasn’t because of the man in-between the pipes. Poulin turned aside 44 of 53 shots to secure the best save percentage of the weekend.
MOST LOOSE BALLS
Tyler Burton (19) – Calgary Roughnecks
The Roughnecks fell to Buffalo 12-10, however, Tyler Burton grinded out a monster effort in the defeat. He gobbled up 19 loose balls and also tied for second in faceoffs won at 65.4%.
BEST FACEOFF WINNING PERCENTAGE % (Taking 10 or more faceoffs)
Jeremy Thompson (67.9%) – Saskatchewan Rush
The eight-year pro’s faceoff success helped Saskatchewan overcome a first quarter deficit to earn a tough 15-13 road victory over Vancouver. Thompson took 19-of-28 draws and collected 12 loose balls along the way as well.
