The Vancouver Stealth will know exactly what is at stake when they take to the floor for their regular season finale.

The Stealth are on the road this Saturday (7 p.m. EST) to face the New England Black Wolves, looking to continue their solid run to close the National Lacrosse League regular season.

Winners of five of their past eight games, the Stealth know they are in the post-season dance and will face the Colorado Mammoth.

The Stealth (8-9) are one game behind Colorado (9-8) but hold the tiebreaker should the two clubs finish with identical records.

Should the Mammoth lose the night before, a Vancouver victory would mean the teams meet the next week in Langley. But if the Mammoth beat Saskatchewan, that would render Vancouver’s game meaningless and the teams would square off in Denver.

New England will also know what is at stake before the ball drops.

At 8-9, the Black Wolves are tied for second place in the East Division.

They can clinch a post-season spot if Rochester loses either of their two games against Georgia — one is on Friday, the other is Saturday — but the Black Wolves also have a home playoff game on their mind.

Tied with Toronto, New England holds the tiebreaker with the Rock closing their regular season on Saturday against Buffalo.

The game features three of the NLL’s top 10 scorers.

Corey Small leads the Stealth — and is second in the league — with 42 goals and third in points with 104. Rhys Duch is eighth in points with 88.

Small is also within striking distance of the Stealth single-season scoring record of 111 points, which is shared by Duch and Colin Doyle.

The Black Wolves are led by Kevin Crowley, who is tied for third with 40 goals, while Shawn Evans is fifth with 95 points.
