Seth Oakes

Acquired: September 9th, 2021 the Georgia Swarm signed Seath Oakes. 

Career

NLL: Selected in the First Round (8th overall) in the 2016 Entry Draft to the Former New England Black Wolves. Oakes attained a total of 25 points with the Black Wolves over the course of two years before leaving to the Vancouver Stealth. After a one year stint with the stealth, he headed back to the New England Black Wolves. One year later he was signed to the Georgia Swarm. In his first season with the Swarm, Oakes had a career high of 33 points (18 goals, 15 assists). 

NCAA: Seth Oakes, a standout attackman for UAlbany, earned USILA Honorable Mention All-American honors and was named to the Tewaaraton Watch List in 2016. He was also a member of the America East All-Conference First Team for the second straight year, ranking ninth in Division I in goals per game (2.75) and 44th in points per game (3.44). Oakes led UAlbany with 44 goals, 11 assists, and 55 points, scoring at least one point in all 16 games played, including 11 multi-goal contests. He had a career-high six goals and eight points, with two assists, in a victory over Drexel (2/27) and added three goals in wins against Maryland (3/16) and Stony Brook (3/19). Oakes also netted four goals in a one-goal victory over Harvard (3/30) and scored the game-winning goal in overtime to defeat #4 Yale (4/23). He tied his career-high of six goals in a victory over UMBC (4/30). In 2015, Oakes was one of the top goal-scorers in the country, ranking sixth in Division I with 3.18 goals per game. He earned America East All-Conference Second Team honors and started all 17 games, finishing with 54 goals, 12 assists, and 18 ground balls. He had 14 multi-goal games, including a career-high six goals and an assist in a road win over Binghamton (4/11) and a seven-point performance (four goals, three assists) in the America East title victory over Stony Brook (5/2). Oakes also scored two goals and an assist in an NCAA Tournament win at Cornell (5/9).
